The Switch to Online Learning- COVID-19

For this blog, I wanted to talk about the global switch to online learning that has recently been implemented due to the Corona Pandemic. A majority of elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, and universities across the world have switched to online teaching and closed down on-site instruction. This is to limit social contact with large groups of people and slow down the spread of the virus. This large scale transition has put a heavy burden on students and teachers. They need to continue their school years and not let this change affect their workflow.

Now is the best opportunity for us to invest time into learning how to educate using technology. There are tools out there that spare no compromises when it comes to teaching students in a non-traditional classroom environment. I think it is important for students to make an extra effort to focus on their academics and overcome at challenges digital learning might bring. It is also essential that teachers maintain open communication and are flexible during this time.
